Andrew W. Toth

Schenectady Andrew W.. Toth, Jr., 74, of Curry Road Ext. passed away unexpectedly, Monday May 1, 2023. Born and raised in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of Andrew W. and Elizabeth Toth, Sr. He was a 1968 graduate of Mohonasen High School. On June 15, 1974, he married Elaine Goulet of Indian Lake. For over 50 years, he was employed as a mason. He learned the trade by working with his Uncle Walter "Sonny" Schmidt. Andrew was a proud member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local # 2 in Albany. In retirement, besides doing masonry side jobs, he enjoyed working on cars (Hot Rods), fishing, and spending time at the family camp on Lake Nancy, especially the grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time and doing things with his friends Jimmy Pigliavento, Mike Marchesani and Al Sedgwick. He leaves his loving wife of 49 years, Elaine Toth of Schenectady; his children Lorraine Toth of Clifton Park, Andrew K. Toth and Thomas A. (Ali) Toth both of Schenectady; grandchildren: Shawnee (Zach) Olsen, Johnny Murphy, and Ashlynn Toth; a sister Susan (Neil) Cole of Schenectady and several uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:30pm to 6:30pm Wednesday, May 17 at Stanford Heights Fire Department, 250 Morris Road, Schenectady. All are invited to attend.
