Schenectady- Arthur D. Vitalo 91, formerly of Caldicott Rd., Schenectady, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Kingsway Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
Arthur was born in Schenectady, son of the late Francisco and Vingenzo Cutugno Vitalo. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and entered the Army Air Force in 1942 and was Honorably discharged in 1946. Arthur was a mail carrier in Schenectady and retired in 1983.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church
.
Arthur was predeceased by his wife Genevieve Martin Vitalo in 2007 and his son Denis Petrie in January 2011.
Survived by his daughter in-law, Michelle Kea Petrie; granddaughters, Meghan Petrie and Kelyn Petrie; his brother Joseph Vitalo; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings, Larry,Steve, Ann and Virginia.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
