Schenectady-Beatrice B. Ciotoli 77, of Eastern Parkway, Schenectady died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Ellis Hospital.
Bea was born March 17, 1933 in Tonawanda, NY the daughter of the late Oscar and Daisy Budine Schriber. She grew up in South Edmenston NY and attended New Berlin High School. Bea graduated from the Crouse School of Nursing in Syracuse. She was a dedicated and respected Nurse for many years eventually retiring from Baptist Health Nursing Center in Scotia in 1993. Bea enjoyed nature and being outdoors, however, her first love was always her family.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Elia "Leo" Ciotoli; her son Frank and his wife Susan Ras Ciotoli, her 2 daughters, Daisy Vollmer and Mary and her husband Anthony DiRubbo; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Timmy, Carrie, Nick, Matthew(Chip), Tony, Ryan, Tyson and Tobi; her brother, Oscar Schriber and several nieces and nephews, Predeceased by her 5 siblings.
Bea was known for her strength, compassion, and for putting others before herself.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday at 11 AM at Jones Funeral Home,1503 Union St., ( at McClellan St.), Schenectady with Rev. Vincent Ciotoli officiating . Calling hours will be Monday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM for those who wish to call.
Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the Pallative Care Department via The Foundation for Ellis Medicine.
