Carolyn Ann (nee Klinger) Van Der Volgen passed away on March 23, 2018 with her family by her side.
Carolyn was born on October 31, 1932 to the late George Sr. and Mary Klinger. Carolyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stephen M. Van Der Volgen Sr., as well as her brother George Klinger, Jr., his wife Jeannette Klinger, and sister Phyllis Rothaupt.
Carolyn is survived by her loving children Denise (Allen) Ayotte and Stephen M. Van Der Volgen Jr., her grandchildren, Stephanie (Jonathan Charon) Ayotte, Christina Ayotte, and Jenna (George) Van Der Volgen, as well as her sister Adele Ayotte-Hoyt (Bill Hoyt). She is also survived by her devoted partner Michael Sweeney, plus several nieces, nephews and close friends.
There will be a graveside service held at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
