David J Keenan, 68, of N. Toll St in Scotia, passed away peacefully at home on
Dec 14, 2014. Dave was surrounded by family as his courageous 6 yr. battle with
cancer came to an end. Dave's wonderful attitude and sense of humor sustained
us all. The son of the late James and Editha ( Teagle ) Keenan, Dave was born in
Schenectady. A graduate of Niskayuna High School and a USAF veteran, he was
predeceased by his brother, Richard. Dave is survived by his wife Deborah Kellam
Keenan, his children Kelly ( Michael ) Curtis of Waltham, MA., Brian ( Tammy )
Keenan of Wynantskill, NY, his step- children Meghan ( Michael ) Bigos of
Niskayuna, NY, and Paul Rizzo of Albany, NY. Dave was the devoted Grandpa to
Abigail, Ella and Adam Curtis, Ethan and Brayden Keenan, Steven Garcia, Drake
and Logan Barker- Bigos, Natalie and Jayden Rizzo. He will be missed by his two
nieces, several cousins and many friends. A special thanks to Rick and Aimee
Munro for being family, in addition to being neighbors. Dave was so grateful
for your friendship. Dave retired from the GE Global Research Center in
Niskayuna. An avid bowler, he was a member of the Mt Carmel Holy Name Bowling
League, his high game was a 299. Dave, Debbi and their little buddy Oliver,
the dog, enjoyed traveling, especially in their motorhome. Calling hours will
held at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St, Schenectady on Friday December 19th,
