Donald B. Miller

Miller, Donald B. of Niskayuna, NY died peacefully on September 10, 2022 at the age of 87. His memory lives on in the hearts of his wife Teresa of 46 years, his sons Kenneth (Marie) and Alan (Cindy), his step-sons John (Estely) and Robert (Janet), his late step-daughter Terri (Bud),
13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was born to Kenneth and Mildred Hayes Miller on November 16, 1934 in Schenectady, NY where he grew up and went to high school at Nott Terrace High School. He graduated in 1952.
He joined the Niskayuna Fire District #2 in 1958 and was a member for 64 years. He was promoted to the rank of Chief and held the position twice. Past Chief Miller continued his service on our Board of Fire Commissioners and as a Deputy Fire Coordinator for Schenectady County. He worked for Leonard Communications for 48 years where he serviced radios for the police and fire departments across the Capital District. Don enjoyed camping, Western Square dancing, and amateur radio. His call was W2EWY.
Calling hours will be held at Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 10AM-12PM.
