Schenectady-Dorothy Jane Manning Sarto, 91, died on May 4.
She was born May 6, 1918 in Syracuse, NY to William and Theresa Manning, the 6th of 7 children all who have predeceased her. She is also predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, John F. Sarto
Dorothy was a well known local artist in the capital district having placed in numerous juried art shows as well as having sold over 1,000 paintings in her life.
Dorothy will best be remembered as a loving wife, mother,and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter Sandra Yager (Bill) of Binghamton, NY, and a son, John F. Sarto Jr. (Philis) of San Diego, California. She had seven grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 to 1:00 on Thursday May 6 at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street, Schenectady. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel at 1:00 followed by internment at Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 4 Pine West Plaza, Albany, NY 12205
