Loudonville-
Dorothy (Penny) M. Unser, 78, a longtime resident of Loudonville passed away peacefully on Monday March 27, 2023, at the Eddy in Troy,NY.
Born in Albany, NY, January 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Dorothy Howlan.
Penny graduated from Colonie Central High School and chose a career in banking. Bank of America was her last stop in the banking world before she decided to retire.
Penny was pre-deceased by her husband John Unser (2011).
She is survived by her brother, Jay (Linda) Howlan of New Port Richey, FL, her sister Kelly Morrone of Albany, NY, nieces, and nephews: Sherry (Brian) Russell, Melinda (Tim) Fuller, Bill Haas, Kate (Erik) Leon; great nieces and nephews: Emma, Jack and Max Fuller and Charlotte Leon.
Penny was an avid reader, spent many years camping with friends and family, and was always ready for an afternoon cup of tea. She was often quiet and reserved but loved time with family and friends.
Relatives and friends may call at the Jones Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie Friday March 31 st from 4-7 PM. A graveside service will be held at 11am Saturday, April 1 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Colonie, NY on
