Edward Patrick Altemus

Edward "Edy" Altemus died on July 25, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by friends and loved ones. Edward was born in Schenectady a son to the late Richard and Veronica Boudreau Altemus. He lived at Schenectady ARC for many years. He was an active participant at Maple Ridge Day Services. Ed enjoyed attending disco on Mondays and flirting with all the pretty girls that he would meet. You would always find him busy completing paperwork at his desk and walking around with his briefcase. Edward's infectious sense of humor and great smile will be missed greatly by those who have known him throughout the years.
Edward is survived by his sisters Leslie Ann Pritchard, M.Lynne Brantley; his brother John Altemus and several cousins and his ARC Family. Predeceased by his brothers Richard and Frederick Altemus.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10 AM to Noon at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St.,( at McClellan St.), Schenectady. A prayer service will be held at Noon at the funeral home with burial to follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
