Edward L. Rowe of Alheim Drive passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 82.
Born on August 31, 1935 in Schenectady, son of the late Geraldine (Talorico) Stec and Stanley Stec. He is the husband of Margaret Peggy (Kuder) Rowe.
Mr. Rowe served in the Marines from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1956 at the rank of Corporal. Ed Hollywood Rowe was a member of the Rotterdam Elks Club where he enjoyed the Bocci Club and was a member of the local Teamsters #294
In addition to his wife, Peggy of Schenectady, he is survived by his children, Susan M. (Richard) Desbiens of Glenville, Lori A. Rowe of Schenectady, Jeffrey E. Rowe of Youngsville, NC, Edward L. (Anna Desantis-Rowe) Rowe, Jr. and James J. (Tammie) Rowe both of Boca Raton, FL and Frederick J. C. Fritzen of Schenectady as well as 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Harold W. Rowe and Gail Stec.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Jones Funeral Home, Inc., 1503 Union Street, Schenectady. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10am on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Schenectady. Burial will follow at 12:30pm at the Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors.
