Edward J. Smith passed away Sunday September 15, 2013.
Edward was born in Patterson, NJ, a son of Estel and Marie Mrouse Smith. He honorably served his county in the United States Air Force from 1942 to 1946.
Edward was a Professor at RPI in Troy for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
Survived by his wife Anita Levens Smith; predeceased by his parents and his brother Kenneth Smith.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday September 28th at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Schenectady. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at a later date in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, New Jersey.
Memorial's in Edwards memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church Restoration Fund, 806 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.
