Emily K. Nagamatsu

Emily Nagamatsu, devoted mother for over 69 years and wife of the late Dr. Henry Nagamatsu, Emily passed away on January 30th in Pompano Beach where she spent her last 3 years near her daughter Nancy and husband Timothy in Pompano Beach. As a lifelong resident of Schenectady, New York, Emily considered upstate New York her "only" home and enjoyed her many friends and the communities she served. Especially fond in her memories were the summers that her family spent at Lake George. Emily chose to live as independently as she could until her passing, and was remarkable physically. She will remain an inspiration and symbol of courage and strength to her children and their families.
Survived by her son Brian and wife Felicia, of Herriman, Utah, daughter Nancy and husband Timothy Farrell of Pompano Beach FL, grandson Herbert and wife Annie and great granddaughter Hailey of Brighton, Colorado.
Contributions in Emily's memory may be made to the Lake George Association or Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, FL, or the First Reformed Church of Schenectady Emily will be returned home to the First Reformed Church Columbarium to be with her husband, Henry.
