Erik Harrsen, 52, of Niskayuna passed away on August 13, 2022.
Erik is survived by his son Tavo; daughter Tristen; brothers John and Christopher; and father John.
Erik is preceded in death by his mother Sandra.
Erik was born in Poughkeepsie, NY and was raised in Highland Heights, OH, Trumbull, CT, and Niskayuna, NY.
While attending Niskayuna High School Erik was a vital member of the Track and Field team.
After graduating in 1988 Erik attended Clarkson University where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science in 1992.
Professionally Erik excelled as a computer systems architect working at prestigious technology companies that included Sun Microsystems, and Broadcom and as an independent consultant to a variety of federal agencies.
Erik enjoyed downhill skiing, cooking, rock concerts, and playing the guitar.
After living in Ohio Erik never lost his love of Ohio sports and maintained his passion for the Browns, Indians, and Ohio State Buckeye football through his entire life.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Erik to the American Red Cross.
