Evelyn Kenny Mendus 96, passed away peacefully Friday February 27, 2015 at Glendale Nursing Home where she has been a resident for 5 years.
Born in Amsterdam, NY, a daughter to the late John J. and Nina Frank Kenny. Evelyn attended St. Mary's School and worked as a Secretary at GE in Schenectady, prior to her moving to Florida in 1958. She returned to Schenectady in 1978. Her husband, George F. Mendus, predeceased her in 1976.
Evelyn is survived by her niece, JoAnne Oram of Glenville, great nieces, Cara and Kiley. Also her granddaughter, Eva Brown of Key West, Florida.
A Special thank you to the Glendale Nursing Home, Pine Plains neighborhood, Karen, Susan, Chaplin Doug, Phillip and Corine of Community Hospice, for the loving care given to Evelyn.
Services and burial will be private.
