Gloria Morales 79, has gone to her heavenly home on Saturday November 22, 2014 after a short illness. Her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Gloria was the daughter of the late Maria Diaz and sister of the late Margie Caban. She was born in Brooklyn, NY
on August 19, 1935.
Gloria worked for American Management Association in Manhattan where she was a personal Secretary for the President of the company. Moving to Schenectady, NY in 1970, she was employed at St. Clare's Hospital in the Patience Account Department for 28 years. Gloria was kind and soft-spoken, always enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be greatly missed by her family.
Gloria leaves behind her loving family; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Kevin Bates of Lake Placid, NY, Granddaughter and Fiance Ashley Barkley and Kristopher Wilber; great grandson Aidan all of Ballston Spa, NY; granddaughters Nicole Smith and Maria Barkley, whom reside in the West Coast and great grandchildren Corbin and Naomi Smith.
Nephews Lawrence (Janet) Caban of Glenville, NY, Steven Caban resides in Pennsylvania and Mark (Cindy) Caban in the Catskills.
The family gratefully decline flowers, donations can be made in Gloria's memory to The Boys Town or City Mission.
A viewing will be on Friday morning, November 28th at 11 AM at the Jones Funeal Home, 1503 Union St.,( at McClellan St.), Schenectady, followed by interment at Noon in Evergreen Memorial Park, Central Avenue, Colonie, NY
