Irene Williams Howe

Irene Williams Howe, aged 83, died at home on November 14, 2015 from natural causes.
She was born on July 26, 1932 in Gloucester City, NJ, the daughter of Henry Williams and Theresa Sagorc Williams. She was one of twelve children. She attended Gloucester Catholic School in Gloucester, NJ.
She was a stewardess for United Airlines and lived in San Francisco, CA and Washington, DC. While in Washington, DC, she met and married William G. Howe. They moved to Madison, Wisconsin and Irene attended classes at the University of Wisconsin. They moved to Schenectady, NY and enjoyed 45 happy years together.
She is survived by her four children: Rebecca Howe Thomas (Mark) of Niskayuna, William Augustus Howe III of Niskayuna, Nancy Gerow Liss (Carl) of Boston, and John Williams Howe of Kentucky; and by five grandchildren, Gregory, Jessica, and Irene Thomas, and Aidan and Alexandra Liss,. She is also survived by two of her sisters, Mary Weber and Pat Mergenthal. She is predeceased by her husband, William Gerow Howe, who died in 2008.
There will be a private viewing. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at 11 AM on Saturday, November 21st at St. Joseph's Church at 600 State Street in Schenectady, with the burial immediately following at Park View Cemetery on Fehr Avenue, also in Schenectady.
