James R. Schmidt 67, of Niskayuna, died at Ellis Hospital on Monday, January 14, 2013.
Son of the late Harry Schmidt and Dorothy Miller. James was employed as an Electrician and retired from B A S F.
He was a member of Local #166 and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish. His interest included bowling, where he was very proud of bowling a perfect 300 game, and he was a true Yankee fan.
Survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Jo Beidl Schmidt; two sons, Brian (Shannon) Schmidt, Jeff (Valerie) Schmidt of San Francisco; four grandchildren, Justin, Adam, Brandon and Michael Schmidt all of Florida; predeceased by his sister Ann Miller.
Services were held privately for family. Memorial contributions in memory of James may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
