Jane H. Malone 86, of Sarasota, FL, died Monday, September 15, 2008.
Mrs. Malone was born December 2, 1921 at Glens Falls, NY the daughter of the late Frank and the late Helen (McLaughlin) Hurley.
She graduated from Glens Falls High School and Russell Sage College. Jane was employed at Catholic Family Services in Schenectady, NY as a Social Worker for 25 years and Manager of Social Services and Discharge Planning at Ellis Hospital before moving to Florida in 1974.
In Sarasota, she was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and its Women's Club.
Predeceased by her husband John M. Malone in 2001 and her brother, Frank E. Hurley in 1992.
She is survived by her sister in law, Joan Hurley; two nieces, Margaret White and Eileen Doherty and four nephews, Edward J., Daniel F., Joseph F. and John C. Hurley; twelve grandnieces and grandnephews and several cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4th at 10 AM at St. Helen's Church, 1803 Union St., Niskayuna, NY.
Memorial donations in Jane's memory may be made to Catholic Charities of Schenectady County, 818 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.
Entombment took place in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
