Jane Tripp Vermilyea 86, of Schenectady, passed away Saturday October 25, 2014 with her husband by her side.
Jane was born in Saratoga Springs, a daughter to the late Ernest Tripp and Margaret Suttorius Tripp. Jane graduated from Lansingburgh High School and went on to graduate from Russell Sage College. She was an Elementary School Teacher with the Niskayuna School District for 25 years. Jane was a member of Niskayuna Reformed Church. Jan is survived by her husband David A.Vermilyea; her son, Mark E. (Kathleen) Vermilyea of Colonie; her daughters, Carole J. (Roger Cherney) Vermilyea of Newton, NJ and Barbara A.(Glenn) Johnson of Shelburne, VT. Also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St.,(at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Burial will be private.
