Jane M. Wells

Schenectady-Jane Moynehan Wells, age 81, of Schenectady , died on Sunday, November 8, 2009 in Maryland while visiting her daughter after a brief yet enjoyable trip to Florida prior to her passing. Born in Glens Falls , NY to the late Elizabeth Singleton Moynehan and Francis P. "Mog" Moynehan.
Jane was formally married to William W. Wells M.D. She was a graduate from Glens Falls High School in 1946 and Harcum Junior College , Bryn Mawr , PA in 1948. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, St. John the Evangelist Rosary Society, Sunnyview Auxiliary (also volunteered), and St. Clare's Auxiliary. She also enjoyed volunteering at Proctor's Theater.
Survivors include her daughters Deborah Purcell (Mike), Clifton Park , NY and Barbara D'Agostino (Danny) of Gaithersburg , MD. Grandchildren Michael (Renee), Tia, Jamie, Lara, Elizabeth and Christopher Purcell; Natalie (Michael) King, Dana and Brian D'Agostino; and great grandmother to Miles Alexander Purcell, and Nicholas and Sophia King. Also survived by sisters Martha Hubert (late Henry Jr.) of Glens Falls and Lona (Vito) Bruno of Potomac Falls, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. , (at the corner of McClellan Street ) in Schenectady on Thursday, November 12 from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday November 13, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Church , Union St. in Schenectady with Father Provost officiating. Memorial donations may be made to The Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street , Schenectady , NY 12308 in Jane's memory.
