Jessie O. Samson

Glenville- Jessie O. Samson 98, of Glenville, died Saturday April 17, 2010 at Maplewood Manor from natural causes. Jessie was born in Schenectady, daughter of the late Harry and Susan Beggs Orlop. She grew up in the Verdoy area of Colonie, graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1929 and went on to graduate from Columbia University of Interior Design. Jessie worked in the Industrial Control Dept as a Draftsman at General Electric for 11 years. On July 4, 1941 she married Warren Samson, he predeceased her in 1988. She was a member of Niskayuna Reformed Church and the Dorcas Circle.
Survived by 2 sons, Clifford E. Samson of Ballston Spa; Dale A. Samson of Glenville; 4 grandchildren, Rebecca (Kevin) Tollisen, Rick Samson, Jonathan Samson, Nathan Samson and 4 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service on Wednesday, April 21st, at 11 am at Niskayuna Reformed Church. Calling hour will be Monday evening, April 19th, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St.,(at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Burial in Niskayuna Reformed Cemetery.
