Joan Friedman

Niskayuna-Joan Londy Friedman, age 88, died on January 9, 2010, after a brief illness. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Saratoga County Maplewood Manor and had previously lived in Niskayuna and Amsterdam. She had been employed by the Schenectady County Office for the Aging, retiring in 1988.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Robert Friedman in 1977 and is survived by her son, Brian L. (Susan) Friedman of Wilton, NY, grandson, Brooks M.(Stephanie) Friedman of Malta, granddaughters, Robin L. Friedman and Ann E. Friedman of Albany and great grandchildren, Maddox L. Friedman and Maci Rae Friedman of Malta.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Maplewood Manor for their kindness and support during her residence there.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street, Schenectady, NY. Friends may call prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at the Temple of Israel Cemetery in Cranesville, NY.
