Joyce Elaine Myers Nauman, passed away from heart failure on Sunday October 27, 2013 at Ellis Hospital
She was born April 13, 1931 in Schenectady, NY, a daughter to Alexander and Gertrude Robbins Myers.
Joyce graduated from Nyack College with a BA degree in Christian Education. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady, she and Calvin were Volunteers with SOWERS for 20 years. She enjoyed photography, sewing and her hospitality inviting people into her home.
She married Calvin Nauman of Schenectady, NY, on August 7, 1954 who survives;
her children; Grace (Bob) Davis of Limington, ME, Marti (Michael) Ross of Forest Grove, OR, Paul (Lauren) Nauman of Hopkinton, MA and Steve (Elissa) Nauman, of Gorham, ME; 12 Grandchildren Jeb, Julia, Zach, Elspeth, Becca, Jason, Amy, Hannah, Josiah, Alek, Sydney and 3 Great-Grandchildren Sophie, Jack and Elena. Predeceased by her grandson Peter.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Thursday at 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Burial will be Thursday afternoon in Memory Garden's, Colonie. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Joyce's memory to First Presbyterian Church, 115 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12305, Camp Pinnacle, 621 Pinnacle Rd., Voorheesville, NY 12186, or to SOWERS, 14771 CR 424, Lindale, TX 75771.
