Kevin P. LaVallee, 60, of Niskayuna, passed away at Ellis Hospital on May 5, 2020 after battling a long illness.
Kevin was born on November 16, 1959. He graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1977.
He was a very talented musician who started as a drummer in the Mohonasen marching band and later performed in many local bands.
He loved all types of music, and especially loved watching live performances. He had a passion for the arts, especially photography and film.
Kevin also had a passion for sports, an unwavering fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
He was a talented baseball player who was awarded a Scholarship to Florida Southern.
Kevin supported his daughter's athletic and performing arts careers, and loved talking about their games, races, and performances.
He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. His quick wit and charm will be missed by those who knew him and knew his heart.
Kevin is predeceased by his biological father, Raybern English, and his father Raoul LaVallee.
He is survived by his three daughters, Jessica (Patrick) Irwin of Niskayuna, Victoria (Herc) Ingels of Raleigh, NC, and Eleanor LaVallee of Raleigh, NC, as well as three granddaughters, Keegan and Cora Irwin, and Kayden Ingels; his mother, Joanne LaVallee of Rotterdam; siblings Chris (Shelley) LaVallee of Rotterdam, Scott (Chessie) LaVallee of Pawling, and Deidre (Jimmy) Davidson of Rotterdam. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In his final act of kindness, Kevin sent the nurses of Ellis Hospital a full Italian dinner, to offer his support to their tremendous efforts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be to your local frontline workers.
