Liliana Lillian Magroni

December 14, 1935 — June 4, 2016

Liliana (Lillian) Magroni passed away peacefully with her friend Ann Martin by her side at Baptist Health Nursing and rehabilitation Center in Scotia, NY after a brief illness.
Lillian was born in Italy December 14, 1935 and was predeceased by her parents at a very young age.
On December 4, 1951 just 10 days before her 16th birthday, Lillian arrived in the United States and went to work in Utica, New York.
Several years later Lillian made Schenectady her home and on June 25, 1969 she started working at Ellis Hospital until her retirement on June 8, 2010. Lillian was very proud of her 40 years of service in the Food Service Department at Ellis Hospital.
During her career at Ellis, Lillian made some very long lasting and loving friendships. Lillian celebrated many holidays and special occasions with her very dear friends Ann and Mike Martin and their family. She will be truly missed by Ann; Mike and their family; Nuria Wheeler and Mary Pelton.
Lillian will always be affectionately remembered for her love of Elvis Presley; the color red; the awesome way she decorated her home during the Christmas season; and for enjoying a fun game of left-right-center.
The staff at Baptist are sincerely thanked for their kindness and compassion.
