Lillian A. Stacy

Lillian (Lil) Stacy died October 8, 2016 in Schenectady, NY after a short illness. Lil was born at home in Gardner, MA to the late John and Mary Tamulen. She was educated in Gardner and Springfield, Massachusetts and Schenectady, New York. She was employed by the Niskayuna School District in the Athletic and Physical Education Department for 27 years.
Lil loved Niskayuna and was involved in her beloved community through many non-profit activities. She was a lifetime member of the Niskayuna Booster Club, member of Niskayuna Friends of Music, Schenectady Friends of the Library, Sunnyview Auxillary, Jessamine Chapter 75 OES, and Lithuanian Outing Association. She volunteered at Bethesda House for 20 years, at Sunnyview Rehab Hospital, SICM Food Program as well as caring for those in need.
Lil is preceded in death by her daughter Jan and her brother Edward. She is survived by her children Judith Detweiler of Melbourne Beach, FL, Nina Peterson of Boulder, CO and Tom Stacy of Raleigh, NC; nephew James Tamulen of Gardner, MA; grandchildren Jonathan, Kjell, Samantha, Hannah, Kate, Grace, Rebecca and James; great grandchildren Leah, Sullivan and Emma.
