Niskayuna- Lillie M. Chamberlain, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 7, 2014.
Lillie was born in North Carolina, a daughter to the late John and Lola Maye Chamberlain. She was a graduate of Phillip Schuyler High School in 1967, also graduated from HVCC in 1970.
Lillie became an Ordained Minister in 1984. She is a member of Emmanuel Friedens Church in Schenectady and a very active member of the Missionary Board; her former memberships include Women's Circle, Race Relations and Deaconess.
Lillie is survived by her brother Cleo Coward of Syracuse; nephews Walter Coward Jr. and Steven Williams; her god-sister Diane Williams; her Aunts, Flora, Rendia, Rev. Dr. Bethenia, Laura, Emma and a Host of relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, her brother Walter Coward Sr., 2 Aunts and 8 Uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Lillie's Life on Friday July 11th at Noon at Emmanuel Friedens Church, 218 Nott Terrace, Schenectady, NY 12307. A calling hour will be from 11 AM to Noon, prior to the service at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in Lillie's memory.
