Waterford- Linda Harvey Richards 62, of Waterford died Tuesday August 14, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospice with her loving family by her side, after a short illness.
Linda was born in Albany, daughter of Carol Brandt Harvey and the late Wayne H. Harvey. She graduated from Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake High School, SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Teaching and The Bryant and Stratton School with a degree in Accounting.
Linda work 21 years at Albany Ladder in Colonie in Accounts Payable. She was a long time member of the First Reformed Church of Schenectady and the church choir, she was a Board member of the Schenectady Choral Society and a member of the Thursday Musical Group
Linda is survived by her mother, Carol E. Harvey of Rexford; her sons, Kevin Richards and Eric Richards both of Waterford; her brother Steven Harvey (Susan Walsh) of Boston; niece, Claire Harvey and nephew Samuel Harvey both of Boston. Her Aunt Barbara Dickinson of North Syracuse and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Linda's Life on Monday at 11 AM at the First Reformed Church of Schenectady. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady for those who wish to call. Entombment will be in the First Reformed Church Columbarium. Memorials in Linda's memory, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
