Schenectady - Lorraine B. Sloan, 73, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, after a valiant fight against breast cancer.
Born in Canada, Lorraine moved to the Capital District in the late 1950's. She worked for the State of New York retiring from The Department of Health.
She leaves behind her two daughters Heather and Beth, an extensive family in Canada and countless friends and neighbors. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and wonderful hospitality. She believed in living life to the fullest. The party's not over it's just moved on.
Visiting hours will be at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady on Friday, September 25th from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM for those who wish to call.
