Marion I. Cain, 98, passed away December 27, 2013 at Kingsway Nursing Center.
Marion was born in East Orange, NJ, on April 15, 1915, and lived and worked in Summit, NJ, until her retirement from the city school system in 1977 at which time she moved to Schenectady to be closer to family members. She was a long-time member of the Lisha's Kill Reformed Church.
Marion was always ready to go places and do things and especially loved Maine and Willsboro, NY.
She is survived by a nephew, Robert Cherry (Kim) Fayetteville, NY, four nieces Barbara Couchon (William) Cary, NC, Doris Turner (Gerald) Hemlock, NY, Janet Williams (Lacey) Clifton Park, NY, Judy Mead (Roger), Clifton Park, NY. Also numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was everyone's favorite aunt and will be greatly missed.
Services at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady, on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10 AM. Burial will follow the service in Lisha's Kill Reformed Church Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers in Marion's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
