Marion J Olsen, 79, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2018, in the loving care of her family. She displayed the highest degree of courage in her battle against an insurmountable illness.
Born May 31, 1939 she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Renus. She lived in Niskayuna where she raised her six children and was employed as a housekeeper.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Kenneth R. Olsen who died in 2009, her daughter Charleen Obosky who passed in 2012, her brother Robert Renus and her sister Diane Pahl.
She is survived by her children Kathleen Martin, Donald Martin, Colleen Halliwell (Paul), Daniel Martin (Karen), Dale Martin (Katie), 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She held on to the possibility and hope of meeting her first great grandson, Rowen, who will be joining the family in two weeks. Many arms will hold him for her in her memory. Survived also by her brothers Charles and Richard Renus.
Calling hours and burial will be private at the familys request.
