Mary Charles

Niskayuna - Mary Faith Macbeth Charles 73, of Eastern Parkway, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Schenectady, daughter of the late J.Francis and Margaret Hurley Macbeth. Faith was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and St. Peter's Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career in Nursing at Ellis Hospital, then raised her family before returning to work at Bellevue Hospital where she retired from in 1985. Faith was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the St. Peter's Hospital Alumni Association.
Predeceased by her husband, Gerald E. Charles Sr. in 2007. Mother of Gerald E. Charles Jr. and his wife Judith of Queensbury, Jeffrey M. Charles of Birmingham, AL, William F. Charles and his wife Mindy of Charlton; grandmother of Jennifer, Sean, Kate and Brendan; her brother John H. Macbeth of Florida and Colonie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, July 1st at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady for those who wish to call.
Burial in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial donations in Mary Faith's memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church Restoration Fund, 816 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.
