Mary Couture
Mary Couture, 64, of Schenectady passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 7, 1953 to David and Joan Stewart she lived in Keeseville, NY. She graduated from Keeseville High School in 1971 and Mary McClellan School of nursing in 1972. Mary resided in Keeseville until she moved to the Capital region where she met her husband, Lawrence Couture. She began a family with two loving daughters. Mary took up the occupation of nursing and was a devoted, compassionate nurse, wife and mother. She had a distinguished career in nursing at Latham Medical Group for over twenty years, touching thousands of people with her care. Even after she had several challenging life experiences and was diagnosed with cancer, Mary supported her family and friends with passion and warmth.
Mary is predeceased by her father David, mother Joan, and two sisters Patti and Jean. Surviving her are her husband Lawrence and her two daughters, Patty and Michelle, two sisters, Rita (Kevin) Grome and Ann (Hal) DuPrey, sisters in-law Doris Quintal, Carol Ewing, Gail Neilsen, Lois (Kevin) Crosby, brothers in law John Couture and David Couture, grandchildren David Coppola, Devan Zinzow, and Delia Zinzow, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 9:00a.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 1803 Union Street, Niskayuna. There will be no calling hours.
