Melissa Lynne Greskovich

January 20, 1981 — November 7, 2009

Niskayuna-Melissa Lynne Greskovich, daughter of Maria Greskovich and Charles Greskovich (deceased), born January 20, 1981, died unexpectedly at the age of 28 in her home in Niskayuna, NY. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Chad Greskovich; sister, Ann Zenner; niece, Helen Zenner; and nephew, Kilian Zenner, along with several Aunts and Uncles.
Melissa graduated from Niskayuna High School with top honors in 1999. She was currently working in accounting and tax at CMP Industries. While working she was also finishing her bachelor's degree in accounting and expected to graduate in the spring of 2010. Melissa enjoyed music, the family dog Bentley, soaps, challenging work problems and her school work. Melissa's smile, laugh, wit, and brilliant mind will be missed by all those who knew her. Her struggle with mental illness and addiction finally took her life. She was a beauty, a gem that will shine forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at First Reformed Church of Schenectady, NY, located at 8 North Church Street, at 2:00 PM on Friday November 13th. A reception will follow in the church. Due to Melissa's close relationship with her father we would ask that any memorial contributions be sent to the Charles D. Greskovich Scholarship at Penn State University. Contributions can be made out to Penn State University, College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Attn: Charles D. Greskovich Scholarship. Send to: College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Development Department 105 Deike Bldg., University Park, PA 16802.
