Nelson Lozada, 46, passed away on Tuesday, April 4th at Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Born on June 27th,1970, in Brooklyn,NY, He was the son of the late Carmen Alida Galarza, and brother of Wanda Iveliz Martinez.
Nelson was employed by K.A.P.L and during his adult life he was loved and respected by all. He had a warm smile, a sense of humor and was a complete gentleman. He loved his family and everyone enjoyed being in his presence. Nelson handled a difficult physical life with grace and courage, never giving up after undergoing a kidney transplant along with other ailments.Through out his struggles, his wife Kimberly was always by his side, administering the care and love that he graciously appreciated.
Nelson is survived by his sister Walleska Martinez, and aunt Evelyn Galarza, niece Iveliz Carmen Nolan and two nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 7th, at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.
Service will be conducted at 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, NY, NY 10016.
