Patricia S. Sherry

Niskayuna-Patricia Ann Scully Sherry died March 10, 2021 in Schenectady, New York. She passed away peacefully at 89-years-old.
Pat was born May 11, 1931 in Schenectady, to Daisy Aline Murray Scully (deceased) and Robert James Scully (deceased). She graduated from Mount Terrace High School in 1949, before heading to work at General Electric. Not long after, she met James F. Sherry (deceased) and the two were married in June of 1957.
Pat and Jim had four children together - Kevin, Timothy, Richard and Bridget. Being a mother became Pat's full-time job and she was a natural. Her station wagon was always packed full of kids and she made sure no one ever left for school without a kiss goodbye and a homemade lunch. She did her best to keep the peace in the house on Rowe Road. When she needed an escape, Pat had Monday night bridge games with the ladies, aerobics classes at the Niskayuna JCC and her favorite romance novels.
Pat eventually became a grandmother to ten grandchildren. She never missed a birthday, holiday, or anniversary, always sending a card with her own special note in the margin. When the family gathered for Christmas, Pat pulled out all the stops with decorations, food and holiday music. It will not be the same without her.
Niskayuna-Pat is survived by her brother Robert "Bob" Scully, sons Kevin (Sheila), Timothy (Alice), Richard (Cynthia), daughter Bridget (David) and grandchildren, Sydney, David, Cara, Emily, Paige, Brooke, Sophie, Ava, Kate and Cole.
A memorial service to celebrate Pat's life will be scheduled for this summer. Contributions can be made to The Alzheimers Association in Pat's honor.
