Peter A. Carmel 62, of Schenectady passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Ellis Hospital with his family by his side.
Peter is a son to the late Arthur and Rita McGee Carmel. After High School he cared for & trained race horses. Peter, most of his life, was in sales. He enjoyed following his niece's accomplishments in college & especially her art. Peter also enjoyed activities with friends, NASCAR & would never miss St. Anthony's Feast. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
Survived by his sister, Mary Ellen & brother-in-law Daniel J. Dondero, uncle of Catherine M. Dondero, many cousins & friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday at 1 PM at St. John the Evangelist Church. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. (at McClellan St.), Schenectady.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
