SCHENECTADY-Peter Adams Willis, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon at Ellis Hospital.
Peter was born in Seattle, WA, a son of the late Ora and Sally Willis. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in electrical egineering. Following college, Peter worked for the General Electric Company and was a member of the ELFUN Society. Peter was the epitome of a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed sailing on the St. Lawrence River, rally car racing, skiing whether it be downhill snow skiing or water-skiing and flying anywhere the wind would take him.
Peter was predeceased by his loving daughter, Jennifer Willis; step-son, Allen Dixon; daughter-in-law, Judy Willis; and a sister, Joanne Scholten.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 33 years, Anne DixonWillis; loving children, Daniel Willis and Paul (Laurette) Willis; step-son, Brent (Edna Kiernan) Dixon; daughter-in-law, Bozena; adoring grandchildren, Theresa, Sarah, Kali and Kasia; his former wife, Mary Armstrong, beloved canine companion, Buddy; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. (at McClellan St.), Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Peter's memory to the Schenectady Theatre for Children, P.O. Box 2376, Scotia, NY 12302.
