Raymond "Ray" LaFreniere, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9th at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Ray was born in Schenectady, a son of the late Raymond and Carmella LaFreniere. He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He worked for Brinks Security for many years and was the former owner of Campus Pizza and for a time, deputy Sheriff for Schenectady. Ray was a great bowler and was a member of a league at the former Mont Pleasant Lanes. He was an avid Yankees and Jets Fan, and he loved his Sunday nights watching the game.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathie Civitello LaFreniere; loving children, Raymond LaFreniere and Frankie Lynn DeMarco and her husband David; cherished granddaughters, Madison Rae DeMarco and Isabella Grace DeMarco; sister, Pam (Earl) Manning; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Albany Street. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Kings Road.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street (at McClellan St.) on Friday from 5 until 7 PM.
