Robert M. Prendergast

Niskayuna- Robert M. Prendergast age 56 passed away suddenly Monday March 30, 2009 at his home in Niskayuna. Born on October 11, 1952 in Utica, NY the son of John and Maria Prendergast. He was a graduate of Niskayuna High School and from Syracuse University.
He served as a Value Engineering consultant for a broad array of services throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He progressed from there to providing architectural planning, design and layout for renovation and new construction for hospitals and universities in California while he worked as a facilities planner at his own private architectural firm in Pasadena and Toluca Lake.
His most recent occupation came through the University at Albany as the Senior Planner of Campus Planning. He is best known by his family and close ones for his always outgoing, and friendly personality.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth and his children Maria, Robert, John and by his parents. His two sisters, Kathleen Fraser and Maura Prendergast, survive him as well. He was predeceased by his brother John.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 9 AM at St. Helen's Church. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady, for those who wish to call.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Robert's memory to CYO Basketball at St. Helen's Church, 1803 Union St., Niskayuna, NY 12309; Niskayuna High School Lacrosse Program, Balltown Rd., Niskayuna, NY, 12309 or to a charity of your choice.
