View Tribute Book Ronald K Willis 87, formerly of 725 Dongan Ave Scotia, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 24, 2018 after a long illness. He was born in Cleveland OH, on September 8, 1930. He was the son of Kenneth and Marquerite Willis. He was a loving husband and devoted father, grand father and great grandfather. He was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict and an avid Cleveland Indians Fan, witnessing their 1948 World Series Championship. He was a Protestant Minister, before working for the New York State Dept. of Probation as well as for the Office of The Aging. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother Duane and his first wife Shirley. Ron is survived by his current wife Beverly Vititow Willis and his three children John (Diane), Michael (Jo Ann) and Kathleen. Ron is also survived by two grandchildren Erin (Benal) and Ashley as well as three great grandchildren. A visitation and celebration of his life will be held Thursday at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street, Niskayuna NY from 11:30 AM to 12:30PM. followed by a Celebration service at the funeral home, with interment at the Gerald B.H. Soloman Saratoga National Cemetery, with full military honors at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Community Hospice or The Alzheimer's Association. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the entire staff of Ellis Rehabilitation Center, Edison Wing and Community Hospice for their incredible care and unfailing devotion to Ron during his stay.
