Rosalie Allura Goodwin

ROSALIE GOODWIN Our beloved mother, Rosalie Allura Goodwin, age 89, of Spring, Texas, was called home to be with God on March 4th, 2014 with her family at her side. Rosalie was born on October 1, 1924 in Chestertown, NY. Years later, she met her handsome husband of 52 years, Henry Arnick Goodwin and they resided in Scotia, New York with their children.
She graduated from Chestertown High School. She was a very creative woman who loved her family and friends. Rosalie was the proud and devoted mother of six children. She had six children over a 20 year span and raised children for almost 40 years. In her spare time she enjoyed going to New York City, Boston, Cape Cod and Cape May. Because of Rosalie's appreciation of the arts, she and Hank donated to Proctors Theater and SPAC. Later in life she enjoyed traveling and attending family events.
She is survived by six loving children and their families: Robert Stockwell of Tomball, TX; Kathie McNamara Mason, Las Vegas, NV; William Goodwin, Columbia, SC; Craig Goodwin, Cumming, GA; Kelly Goodwin Strait, Columbia, SC and Brett Goodwin, Ridgefield, CT and also by 13 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
The calling hours will be from 5 PM - 7 PM Monday March 10th at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12309. The funeral service will be at 11 AM Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY
