Rose A. Lence

Schenectady- Rose A. Lence formerly of Front Street, passed away on Saturday,June 12, 2010 at the Baptist Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. She was 96.
Born on December 1, 1913 in Schenectady, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Domblewska Wekszner.
A lifelong resident of Schenectady, Rose owned and operated Lence Awning in Schenectady and worked at Campbell Plastics, retiring in 1984. She was a Parishioner of Holy Cross Parish until its closing.
Survivors include her daughter, Carole Farry of Clifton Park, her grandchildren, Lorie (John) Robinson, Stanley (Julie) Lence, Paul (Tammy) Lence, Kimberly (Jerry) Wilson, Patrick (Jeanne) Farry, Kristen Farry and her great grandchildren, Kathleen Farry, Thomas Lence, Courtney Robinson and Grace Robinson.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Stanley, whom she married May 24, 1934,her son, Chester Lence, her brothers, Frank and Anthony Wekszner and her sister Agnes Snyder.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, June 17th with prayers at 9:15 AM at Jones Funeral Home then to St. John the Evangelist Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM with Rev. John Facci
officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 4 PM to 6 PM at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. (at McClellan St.), Schenectady for those who wish to call. Burial will follow in the family plot in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
Donations in memory of Rose may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 816 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308, St. Jude Childre's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38148 or to a charity of one's choice.or to a charity of one's choice.
