Schenectady?Shirley Ann Reiner Friedman, age 81, died Friday afternoon at Ellis Hospital.
Shirley was born in Mount Pleasant, daughter of the late Jack and Ella Reiner. Shirley was a founding member of Congregation Beth Israel and its Sisterhood, and a member of several bowling leagues.
Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty years, Herbert J. Friedman; son David Bruce Friedman; daughter Lauren Ruth Friedman Shabat; and grandson Robb Friedman.
Survivors include her adoring granddaughters, Joelle Shabat and Sandra Friedman-Martin; great-grandchildren Salvatore and Marisa Martin and Faith Elliott; and a daughter-in-law Cindy (Virginia) Friedman.
Services will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock at Congregation Beth Israel, Eastern Parkway. Interment to follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Rotterdam.
A traditional period of mourning will be observed at the Friedman residence, 657 St. David's Lane, Niskayuna, NY 12309.
