Thomas Wendell Norton "Tom" on October 4, 2016, at the age of 85, Tom passed away peacefully at the Loving Home on the Bluff in Rexford, NY.
The son of Dr. Frances J. Norton and Dorothy Leonard, Tom lived his whole life in the Schenectady area. He received his bachelors from Yale in 1953 and two masters degrees: one from Yale, and one from Union College. Tom taught science at Linton High School, was a pilot, Coast Guard Auxiliary officer, and was a finalist for NYS in NASA's Teacher in Space Program.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Arthur Norton; his daughter Susan Norton-Scott; his sons John C. Norton and William B. Norton; his siblings Jane McKenzie and James Norton; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at the First Reformed Church of Schenectady on November 12th at 11:30 AM.
