Veronica S. Bartholic

July 3, 1932 — June 7, 2017

Veronica "Ronnie" S. Bartholic, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.
Ronnie was born in Elmira, New York on July 3,1932 to the late Emma and James Stepanian.
Music was a way of life for Ronnie since the age of three when she first began to play the piano. A graduate
of Syracuse University, Ronnie taught music for more than twenty years in Niskayuna School District
while also giving private piano lessons to children of all ages. Ronnie was also a highly regarded bell
choir director for many years in the greater Capital area.
When she wasn't playing or teaching music, Ronnie was often found on the golf course at the Mohawk Golf
Club, where she had been a member for many years, developing her passion for both her golf and bridge
games. Faith, community and service to others were fundamental to her life and Ronnie devoted a great
deal of her time to her church, the First Reformed Church of Schenectady, where she served on many
working committees and in various leadership roles. Through her numerous connections to her community,
Ronnie established and nurtured friendships with people of all ages, many of whom were so attentive
and showed much love and affection for her during her final days. Ronnie's family will forever be
grateful for these acts of kindness.
Ronnie is survived by her son, David J. Bartholic, and his wife, Mary; her grandson,Ian; and her sister,
Ellen M. Stepanian.
A memorial service will be held at the First Reformed Church of Schenectady on
Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10 a.m.
