Dr. Vladimir A. Teplitsky 83, of Niskayuna, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday morning, January 28, 2016.
Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bertha Schmaltz Teplitsky; daughters, Nina (Igor) Kraev and Anastasia Bortunova; grandchildren, Alexander (Christina) Kraev, Vladimir (Bridget) Kraev, Jayne Bortunova and Daria Gusarova; great granddaughter, Vera-Mae Kraev; his sister Olga (Sergey Visotsky) Visotskaya, Brother in-law Victor Kazakov. Predeceased by his sister Natalia Kazakova.
Vladimir fulfilled his lifelong dream of being a sailor when he took up sailing as a hobby late in life. He loved his dog Ovi, watching basketball and his family. He also very much enjoyed spending his time as an amateur brewer and his sharing his homemade apple brandy with everyone.
A time of sharing and remembrance will be held on Sunday, January 31st at Noon at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery.
